You can make your resume widely available to employers and recruiters by posting your resume on one or two major job boards.  If you are concerned about maintaining confidentiality or about the potential of receiving many emails and phone calls, then you should not post your resume here.  Posting a confidential resume can have some limited benefit, but many employers and recruiters avoid confidential postings to save time.  Here are the links to the job boards that would give your resume maximum exposure to the job market:


Another more passive method of exposing yourself and your resume to recruiters and employers is through a professional social networking site like LinkedIn.  Depending upon where you are in the country or on the globe, different sites may be more popular like Spoke .  While Facebook is very popular socially, we have found that it has more personal relevance than professional.  Here is a link to LinkedIn which has great features to search and link to past coworkers and colleagues to build a professional network:
